Flavored Ice Cubes

All I can think of is THIS song. Awwwwwwww yea. Anyway, flavored ice cubes. These are great little things for your delicious sparkling water, ginger ale, or regular water. They are obviously super easy to make, and beautiful. Perfect for summer patio drinks. Its a great way to use up some berries before they might go bad.

Yes, but what happens when you get so caught up listening to the song and doing the running man that they cubes melt away in your glass? Great pictures though; who knew ice cubes could photograph so well.

Just found your blog recently, love all the photos. Everything looks stunning!

By the way, where did you get your ice cube maker (is it a tray?) from? That looks ingenious – none of that fussy plastic shenanigans!

Hi Drea. It’s actually a thirft store tray. But the silicone molds are pretty cool also!

Love the photography and styling!
Really interesting take on the ice cream – maybe this summer (New Zealand) I will be game enough to give it a whirl!

There is no harm in preparing early for summer, eh? I think so too…I love your ice cubes idea. I do the same but mine is a lot simpler though. I use frsh fruits or sometimes fruit mix. I just toss it over lemonade or plain Kool Aid mix for my toddler and her eyes gleam with joy. I’m eager to try your mix because my little girl loves kiwi so much…Have to get my flicker ready for that camera moment when she sees what I have prepared for snacktime! Thanks!

These cubes look so beautiful and a perfect way to add a bit of natural sweetness to bubbly water. I am sure that they impress guests too! I will have to work on a cantaloupe mint one as its one of my favorite summer flavor combos.
