We know everyone does a whole lotta entertaining during the Holiday times so we have paired up once again with The FIX and created another yummy recipe. This recipe for Ham and Chive Fritters is one of those full proof appetizer recipes that you will want to keep on file. These little balls of joy are crispy on the outside and light, yet slightly creamy on the inside. Which means you can eat a lot of them and not feel like you did after Thanksgiving. For the full recipe, check out our guest food blog post over on MYHABIT.com’s theFIX!

Oh they sound so delicious! THANKS for sharing the recipe, I guess the dough can really be used to fry a lot of random variations so that’s really nice. Any tips for making them without a machine? Would it just take longer to mix the dough?
The yummiest solution I’ve seen yet for all that excess post-Christmas ham we always seem to have lying about.
Holy ham do these look good! I love the addition of chives for a fresh green taste!
These look really good, but I can’t get the recipe. MYHABIT.com isn’t loading for me.
lOoks so yummy
I would so make this over christmas and new year!
Thank you x
I guess Christmas festivities kept me away from my computer. I hope you have another one soon because I’m there!

These look rockin! One question: would it be possible to bake these instead of frying them, like cheese puffs? Don’t get me wrong, I am definitely in the I-would-eat-my-shoe-if-you-deep-fried-it club. I just hate cleaning up after frying! Thanks!
Yep, you can definitely bake them! The texture will be completely different though. The fried fritters will have a crisp exterior and creamy interior, while the baked version will make a light and airy puff (the baked version is great with grated cheese). Both are delicious!
Hot damn! I’ve never made a fritter but will definitely be trying this recipe.
Happy New Year

I don have a stand mixer- is a traditional mixer acceptable? Or can I just mix the batter by hand with a large spatula?
A hand mixer will work great! I wouldn’t recommend trying to mix by hand as the dough is super thick, making it really difficult to fully incorporate the eggs. Good luck!
