I LOVE your website, but the pale pink font is extremely hard to read. Any chance you could make it darker? It seriously is almost impossible to see, especially on a list heavy page like this.

Teri Lyn Fisher August 22, 2011 at 7:49 pm

Ok. Noted. I’ve made it a bit darker. Thank you.

If you are on a macbook I’d recommend using Nocturne. I’ve noted a lot of websites have lightly colored fonts against light colored backgrounds and it always help to just switch to “night” when that happens.

I used it on this page and it worked great!

Love love the food and photography. Can I ask where you go the recipe index? is it custom?

Reply

Jenny Park August 22, 2011 at 11:48 pm

Hi Monica! Yep, the recipe index is custom, based on what categories we thought we would utilize the most. Happy to hear you love the food and photography!!

Just a silly comment on one of the posts. “Root” is misspelled on “Aromatic Roasted Rood Vegetables.” Oh and I am LOVING this site.

Thank you for catching that!

This website ROCKS! I have noted several of your recipes and they all sound amazing. How long does the Bacon Jam last? I am thinking of giving it for Xmas presents.

Just stumbled across your blog today via Foodgawker. LOVE IT!! I am so glad I found this blog because it’s amazing. I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome I think the food photography is…I feel like it is just galaxies beyond many of the other food blogs I read (and I think theirs is really good)! The colors and design are so cute too :) I will definitely be visiting all the time and I can’t wait to try some of the recipes. Keep up the good work! :)

Teri and Jenny,

StumbleUpon bought me here, and I love your blog. I’ve been passing it to all of my friends. Your recipes are well-written and definitely delicious, but your photography is really what I think is sublime. I really dig the style and… culture (I suppose that’s the right word) of your blog. Keep up the good work! :-)

I know that someone has already said this, but the pink writing is still kind of hard to look at. I have to squint my eyes to see it at times. Maybe try making it the same pink as the little bird on the right.
For now thanks for the wonderful recipes, I love this site. :)

Hello to Teri and Jenny!

I landed on your site via Gojee and just wanted to say that I LOVE the look. I cannot wait to try your recipes. I’ll be making the Simple Stuffed Shells this weekend. However, my mom is allergic to tomatoes, so I’m going to try them with a butternut squash sauce at the bottom. The photography is absolutely beautiful as well. I’m new to this, but if you have time, check out my site:

Best of luck, and keep the recipes coming!

Could not find the recipe for the spicy honey drizzle for shrimp fritters.

Reply

Teri Lyn Fisher April 15, 2012 at 6:09 pm

HI Kim. That recipe is linked within the post for the shrimp fritters. The honey drizzle wasn’t its own post. In the future you can try using the search bar.

ok so you don’t have many italian recipes that needs to change. you should have a recipe for stuffed shells.

thnx.

Reply

Jenny Park April 19, 2012 at 11:48 am

We do have a recipe for stuffed shells…spinach and ricotta stuffed shells.

We also do in fact have a good amount of Italian recipes, just not an Italian section in our recipe index..

It’s not. It was from my old blog. Search for the recipe name on marthastewart.com and you should find it!

This color scheme reminds me of nothing other than an over-exposed photograph. It’s not easy to read, at all.
